Recent m-am apucat de un curs de User Experience Design. (UX Design). UX design este un proces care urmărește interacțiunea unui utilizator cu un product îmbunătățind accesibilitatea, utilizarea și satisfacția acestuia.
UX design-ul este catalogat ca design conceptual, având rădăcini în ergonomie și interacțiunea om-computer, domeniu care din 1940 studiază interacțiunile dintre om, computer și mediu.
Primul cercetător care a inventat termenul de use experience a fost Donald Norman:
I invented the term because I thought human interface and usability were too narrow. I wanted to cover all aspects of the person’s experience with the system including industrial design graphics, the interface, the physical interaction and the manual. Since then the term has spread widely, so much so that it is starting to lose its meaning.
UXD este o disciplină interesantă și interactivă care înglobează tehnici și elemente din etnografie, design vizual, tehnici de interviuri, statistică, sociologie, tipografie.
